Worcester Racecourse is the home of thoroughbred horse racing in the region and is located directly between the city centre and the River Severn. The course is set out an oval circuit that is about 2,615 metres around equating to 13 furlongs. Horse Races have been staged at this location since 1718. It is one of the oldest racing locations with an unbroken track record of staging events in Great Britain.
There are 20 National Hunt meetings on the fixture list that take place from May to October. The 100 acre destination with its range of first class facilities has an excellent reputation for summer jumping.
As a smaller horse racing venue it is easy to see many of the associated activities such the ring, and weighting area. The site features the main grandstand, corporate boxes, Parade Ring Marquee, The Severn Restaurant and numerous other trackside locations for viewing the races.
Worcester Racecourse is also available for corporate and private events including weddings, exhibitions, conferences, automobile displays and training. The site is also used for community activities such as charitable fun runs, family days and live music events.
