A popular riverside amusement park and funfair with thrilling rides in Stourport-on-Severn.
Treasure Island is Stourport on Severn’s well known amusement park and features over 25 fairground attractions. Located just off Bridge Street between the newly refurbish historic canal basins and The Riverside Meadows, the amusement park overlooks the river Severn. Visitors to Stourport often mention that it has the atmosphere of a seaside town and Treasure Island has an old fashioned vibe that really compliments this feeling.
Entry to the amusement park is free and visitors can buy tokens for admission to the rides. Scattered throughout the park are a range of quirky and fascinating largescale figurines including an attractive lady pirate and a colourful dragon. Opening times can vary depending on weather conditions and the time of season so it’s advisable to check the official website for the latest information. It is generally open from Monday – Sunday: 10am – 8pm during the summer months.
For a quite small amusement park it features some impressive rides including ‘The Freak Out’ giant pendulum swing and the King Sizzler added as recently as 2017. The ‘Sky Flyer,’ added in 2016, is truly impressive if a little daunting and towers over the area offering thrills and stunning views of the town, river and surrounding countryside. The area is popular with day visitors and can get very busy over summer weekends and bank holidays.
