Artrix: Worcestershire’s premier theatre and performing arts centre in Bromsgrove
Artrix is a centre for the performing arts that includes a wonderful 300 seat auditorium, reception area, café, licensed bar, private rooms and a rehearsal room or dance studio on the second floor. It offers an annual programme of theatre, music, visual arts and comedy with as many as 200 performances and 200 cinema screenings. Artrix also supports a range of creative and lively workshops for people of all ages.
Performances are pleasantly diverse and include well-known comedians, respected theatrical groups and Christmas pantomime specials as well as a variety of popular musical events.
Artrix also has a very proactive ‘Learning and Engagement’ section that organises numerous ventures including a Youth Theatre group and projects in the community for all ages and social standing. There is also an art gallery spread across three floors of the venue.
Built in 2005, Artrix is located next to the Heart of Worcestershire College and has a large, well lit, car park which is free to use. The Artrix is managed by a charitable trust and a team of dedicated volunteers. Huge efforts are made to ensure that the events are exciting and fresh. Artrix is a very special venue with a great programme and friendly ambience.
