Rowpire offers a professional property staging service which helps home owners, developers and landlords achieve the quickest possible sale/let for their property and for the highest price. They install soft furnishings and high quality furniture to create a desirable show home look.
They also offer our clients de-cluttering advice and assist with minor refurbishment improvements which can be completed prior to their property hitting the market and will be managed inhouse by their qualified project manager.
How did you start your business? We have always had a passion for home interiors and creating beautiful spaces. Although the idea came from a previous job role where I (Sara) was working as a senior asset manager for a residential property company, my clients were high net worth individuals with large property portfolios which were all rental investments. When the annual tenancies turned over there were always the same few properties which took longer than the others to re-let, mainly due to badly appointed, small rooms or undesirable views etc. This is where I took the initiative to install soft furnishings over the landlords furniture to create a desirable setting and staged a purpose for each room, this increased viewing figures almost immediately as each property listing made an impact on the property portals.
Strangely enough the less desirable properties are now our favourite! We love to take on a challenge and know all the tricks to make a room look bigger than it is.
How did you get into this industry? We both have over 10 years experience in the property industry in varied roles ranging from residential sales and lettings, construction project management, property asset management and interiors.
What do you enjoy most about being in your business? Seeing our clients wonderful reaction once our furniture packages are installed in their property, their feedback means so much to us and keeps us going.
What top 3 words/phrases describe you best? Motivated, professional and positive.
What is your favourite local restaurant?
Our favourite local restaurant has to be Boleros, they always create such a welcoming atmosphere and it’s a great place to wind down after a busy day staging. Their grazing boards are a personal favourite.
What exciting things are happening in your business?
We have just launched our affordable but high quality landlord and HMO furniture packages – gone are the days of cheap pine furniture sets for students! All of our packages are modern and stylish which will help any property stand out against the competition and achieve the highest possible rental price.
What motivates you?
Knowing that our work has helped sell a property and showing a client how their property can reach it’s full potential, sometimes people living in a house for a long period of time need a fresh pair of eyes to bring the house to life.
What would you say would be your biggest achievement to date?
Our most recent stage, an apartment located in south Worcester. Our client contacted us in July and was very nervous about going on the market, especially as her neighbours apartment (exact replica of hers) had been on the market since earlier in the year with no viewings or interest. We installed our enhance staging package and as soon the property hit the market she had multiple viewings, two offers and has now sold for the full asking price within 4 weeks. This is quite an achievement in the current environment where buyers are predominately looking more for houses with gardens and moving away from apartment living.
